Last updated October 13, 2026. We keep your data on your device as much as possible. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and where it goes.
Your Focus sessions, Touchpoints, Foundations, history, and settings are stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced privately across your own devices via Apple's CloudKit — under your own Apple ID, in your own private database. We never have access to this data. It is not sent to our servers.
Which apps and categories you choose to shield during a Focus session (via Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls framework) is also handled entirely on-device by Apple's system frameworks. We never see which specific apps you've selected.
If you create an account with your email, your Foundations, Touchpoint library, history, and settings sync to our server as well — so they can be recovered on a device signed into a different Apple ID (e.g. a work vs. personal device). This is optional and separate from the free iCloud sync above. Creating an account also opts you into a weekly summary email of your progress (session counts and totals, not your notes or app selections).
We use privacy-friendly, aggregated product analytics (no cross-app tracking, no advertising identifiers, no data resale) to understand basic usage patterns like which screens are used, so we can improve the app. This never includes the content of your Focus sessions, Touchpoints, or Foundations.
These web pages (showupanyways.com/app and the rest of showupanyways.com) use two analytics tools. They are separate from the app analytics above.
Google Analytics counts visits and shows us which pages people read. When you visit, it sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that linked you here. You can block it with Google's opt-out add-on or any content blocker. See Google's privacy policy.
Microsoft Clarity shows us how people use a page (clicks, taps, and scrolling) so we can make it better. It only turns on if you click Allow on the small bar at the bottom of the page; if you click No thanks, it never loads. Anything you type is hidden from it. See Microsoft's privacy statement. Your answer is saved in your browser so we only ask once; clear this site's data to be asked again.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and by Adapty, our subscription infrastructure provider. Adapty receives purchase and device information necessary to validate your purchase and manage your subscription status — see Adapty's privacy policy for details. We do not receive or store your payment card information; that is handled entirely by Apple.
You can delete your local and iCloud-synced data at any time by deleting the app and, if desired, removing its data from iCloud in your device's Settings. To delete your account or any server-held data, or to ask any question about this policy, contact us at showupanyways@wsbroundtable.com.
Show Up Anyways: Focus is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email showupanyways@wsbroundtable.com and we'll delete it.
